Developing the Bragout website

We started working on development on the evening of September 14th, 2015. It was stressful since I kept changing my original idea about five or six times. I wanted to construct a site where people could showcase their talents, find recruiters, and spread knowledge about certain activities to others. Everyone deserves the chance to be recognized without moving to a big city.
My main focus was for people to express their talents. As we were deciding the design for the main page, we changed our minds a lot and went through twelve different designs. I turned my spare room into a fancy (sort of) but tiny office area. I used my artistic skills to sketch out designs using wire frame (after the painstaking task of learning how to use wire frames of course). It was still plenty of fun, and I recommend that everyone should try it out.
Next, we got the chance to play around with Photoshop. Since I had a bunch of awesome sketches on paper and my fantastic wire frame designs (a true artist would probably laugh at my designs), it was easy to transfer those ideas to Photoshop. Everything that once was swirling around in my brain was now a visual masterpiece! After I had completed my designs, I compared them to my data flows, requirement documents and ERDs. Whatever changes had to be made, I didn’t rest until they were done.
My next task was to start talking to people about my project’s concept. I was lucky enough to present my ideas to other entrepreneurs. From my discussions with others, I knew I needed to change some things up. Knowing what I had to change led me to changing my project to focus on passion, because I hadn’t changed my mind enough already right? My ideas of bragging transformed into positive bragging. With the help of others opinions and knowing our core values, we managed to create the site that it is today.
Our site has narrowed its focus to sports and physical activity. Making a site takes constant effort, and we put in more than enough of that. We want to help people embrace their passion, so we need continuous validation and feedback to know we are on the right track. Once our ideas were organized (finally!), we dove into development. This beta launch will help us solidify a website that has what users want, not just our perception of what they want. We want to solve problems and work together to succeed.
