A home away from home is how I feel about San Antonio. I am
attached to it because of the family (aka, Ms. Kiana K), but on the other hand, it's Texas with all that just happened to be in Texas. I better stop before the
wrong person reads this. Anyway, I'm a big fan of San Antonio. This is my
second favorite city in Texas. Austin, of course, is my first.
Vancouver is a nice city, and it happens to be my home now. I'm not going to spend too much time on this blog talking about it, but what I would say is, please check it out.
Fun fact: Canada is a bilingual country with French and English being the official languages, but in Vancouver, the official languages are English and Putonghua (Ok, OK, it is based on the Mandarin dialect, and you want to know why I didn’t just say Mandarin in the first place. Is it your blog or mine?
Ah, what can I say about this city? If it was not as cold as
it is during the winter, I would be living here full time, but again, if it was
not that cold, I think everyone in Canada would be living there, and Vancouver
would not have to be as expensive as it is as it would attract all the ‘Asian’
money from Vancouver and make Vancouver affordable (ouch, yes, I went there.. Lol) Let’s be honest, this is by far the most beautiful city in Canada, and it is no surprise why it is the second most populous city (so they say) in
Canada even being as cold as it is. It is also quite European.
There was no way I was going to spend the summer without
visiting this city, so I made sure my summer plans included Montreal in July (By
the way, that’s the best time to visit this city as it is full of festivals)
It was my first trip to Scotland. I am still shocked that I
lived in England for many years but never visited Scotland until now. If you haven't been to this country before, pack your bags and check it out.
This is a great country; the people are very kind and nice. I thought I would have
difficulty understanding people's accents, but I was fine. I find the
Scottish accent difficult outside the country, but in Edinburgh, the accent is
easy to comprehend. Don't get me wrong, it's always a Scotch accent.
Who hasn't heard of this great city? The city's changed a
lot since I last lived there. Damn, Leicester square used to be where we ran
around while in Uni, and now my one-time favorite nightclub is now a casino.
When did hippodrome become a casino? That’s how long it has been since I was in
London. I used to go on Wednesdays because it was student's night, and the
beverages were so cheap that they could be free and sometimes were free. (Oh! I
miss university years). Anyway, my summer trip again brought me to this city
which was my home and I am so happy to have come.
Slovakia's capital and largest city. Where do we begin with this city? Just beautiful has been what I would say. I understand why many Eastern Europeans, Western Europeans, and tourists worldwide flock to this city to spend holidays or feel at home. It kind of reminded me of Montreal, Canada, in some respects. Well, the old town did, and just some parts of Montreal.
The city is very close to Vienna, and it is easier to fly
into Vienna, Austria, and drive or take a train or bus to the city. It is about
a 50mins - to an hour drive from Vienna, Austria.
Interesting fact: The city has a castle on a
plateau 300 feet above the Danube. The castle remained the royal family's residence until its destruction by fire in 1811. Most of it has been
restored.
Vienna is a beautiful city all around, and Austria is a
beautiful country you will want to visit. Australia's capital city is
supposed to have about 2 million people. This is a vibrant city with so much to
offer and see.
Interestingly, Vienna was the largest German-speaking city
in the world until the 20th century, but now it is the second largest after
Berlin.
There are two sides of Budapest: Buda and pest, between them there is the river Duna. Budapest, Hungary is famous for baths, friendly attitude, good meal, festivals and concerts. Gyertek és nézzétek meg kik vagyunk!
The oldest church in BudapestWhen you say Budapest, what do you have in mind? Party,
party, party, is it? There's more to this city than festivals, clubs, and
bars. It is the ninth largest city in the EU in terms of population within the
city limits. This is the capital and the most populated city in Hungary. Budapest
is not a long way from Vienna. In fact, I took a train from Vienna that took
about 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Citizens of Hungary have 12 free semesters to attend College or University in their lifetime. How crazy and cool is this??
Prague, Czech Republic
The capital and largest city in the Czech Republic. Most people go to this city because of its nightlife, but the city is rich in history and architectural heritage.
